Intended Audience:
This activity was developed for internists, family physicians, and cardiologists involved in the care of patients post treatment for an acute coronary event.

Statement of Need:
This activity is designed to address the utilization of optimal antiplatelet therapy in maintenance therapy for patients following an acute coronary event.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Assess a patient’s risk for clotting-related problems post treatment for acute coronary event
  • Appropriately design protocols for individual patients based on assessment of patient risk and treatment risks and benefits
This activity will address professional practice gaps in knowledge and competence.
