Detailed Description:
The purpose of this activity is to outline strategies for evaluating, treating, and managing a patient with unstable angina/non
ST-elevation myocardial infarction, using an interactive case study that encompasses the perspectives of multiple specialties and to increase the competence of healthcare professionals in the management of ACS by demonstrating, in a case-based format, not only the necessity but also the adaptability of dual antiplatelet therapy to address the specific needs of the individual patient to reduce the risk of a recurrent event and mortality
.The target audience consists of general cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals who manage and treat patients with ACS.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of the activity, participants should be able to:
  • Evaluate the safety and efficacy data on antiplatelet and anticoagulant therapies, including novel agents, and their impact on patient outcomes
  • Design treatment strategies for ACS based on consideration of recent updates to guidelines in UA/NSTEMI
  • Select and administer optimal antiplatelet regimens for the secondary prevention of ischemic events in patients with ACS
