Detailed Description:
This dinner education session is designed to provide physicians with evidence-based information on current issues surrounding the metabolic syndrome and the relationship of endocrine issues in bipolar disorder, epilepsy and other disease states. Additionally, the session will discuss relationships between seizure disorders, psychiatric disturbances and polycystic ovarian syndrome and management strategies.
Participants will be able to:
- Discuss new findings relative to the metabolic syndrome
- Describe relationships between seizure disorders, psychiatric disturbances and polycystic ovarian syndrome and management strategies
- Compare and contrast teratongenicity of anticonvulsants
