The purpose of this activity is to review the management of patients presenting with clinical conditions related to Gastroenterologic and Hematologic/Oncologic diseases
Program Objectives for Activity:
- Describe clinical manifestations, diagnostic evaluation, and therapeutic options for GERD
- Apply new diagnostic tests/therapies for inflammatory bowel disease
- Explain the epidemiology, diagnostic evaluation and new therapeutic options for Hepatitis C.
- Describe the emerging role of probiotics in GI disorders
- Assess and outline therapy for anemia
- Treat Hematologic malignancies
- Manage Myeloproliferative disorders
- How to treat the hematologic malignancies
- Be aware of advances in the treatment of breast cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer and prostate cancer
